Can You Believe It??

O.K. I have to admit that I am married to the luckiest man alive. The other day he went for a horse ride with his dad. On the ride they had to stop at different stations to get a card punched. (It was kind of like a card game) Whoever had the best hand at the end of the ride won a saddle. There were about 70-80 people on this ride and Jon won. When he called and told me I didn't believe him. I do have to say that he is pretty lucky. I've never win anything! It is a pretty nice saddle and he was pretty excited. Although, now he has two saddles to break in because he has another new one at home.

Logan and Maddi both celebrated their birthdays. All Logan wanted was baseball stuff, including a baseball cake. He is such a great kid and so patient and kind. I wish that all of us could be as easy going as he is. (Sometimes)
Maddison wanted to get her ears peirced. My mom and I took her shopping and she got them done. I forgot to take pictures, of course. She absolutly loves them and thinks that she is pretty big stuff now that she is 7. We also went on a birthday picnic at the park.

\
We took the kids to the temple open house and then took a little tour around temple square. The kids had a lot of fun and it was good to get out and do something. It seems like we are always too busy working and doing things around the house to go anywhere. We took them to the top of the Joseph Smith memorial building and ate. Brooke has never been on an elevator before and she absolutly hated it. She screamed and tried to run away when we went to go back down. It was such a fun day!
Let's see, what else have we been doing? Baseball and softball just ended this week. (YEA) Yes, we love playing but we are ready to actually have a summer. Logan earned his wolf in scouts and the kids are now in swimming lessons. Briggs has lived in the mud, Brooke has played dress-ups every day, Maddi lives on her bike and on the swing, and Logan is just hanging out and keeping his egg business going. The summer is flying by and before we know it we'll be back in school. There just is never enough time to get everything done and do the things we want to in the summer.

It's Been A While

Wow, where does the time go? It has been a while since I have posted and a lot has happened. May was a pretty busy month for us. We had our annual dance review and Maddison was right in her element. She loves to dance and she loves her dance teacher. She did great and it was really fun to watch. It was Logan's birthday and he turned 9. I haven't got his pictures from his birthday downloaded yet but I'll get them on soon. He got baseball stuff and clothes. He had a really busy month with baseball and he loved it. He is our most easy going child and nothing ever gets him too upset, other than his sisters. Our youngest two are quite the twosome. They just love pestering their older siblings and making messes. Jon's mom got a new camera for Christmas and we had to try it out. I posted some of the pictures that we took of the kids. They are all growing up so fast. I'm glad to be out of school for a while to spend some time with them. We've only been out a few days but so far, it's been great! We don't have much planned for the summer. Just ballgames (Jon and Maddi are still playing), swimming, playing with friends, walks to the park, and working on our house.(That is a never ending project). Life is great and we're just enjoying every moment of it!

We celebrated Easter a week late because of the crazy weather. We decided to go on a little cookout and ride four-wheelers with Jon's parents. It was a lot of fun and it felt good to get outside for a while. The kids had so much fun.

Maddi just had her first grade program. It was so cute! It was all about terrific kids and she did a great job!

Life is BUSY

Life has been kind of busy the past month. I have kind of been a slacker on the whole blogging thing but hopefully I can get caught back up. I wanted to post Logan's and Maddi's winning pictures and stories from our art contest at school. They did a great job and they were so proud.
My mom gave this picture to Maddi and I just love it. We just got done with piano festival and Logan participated in it. He worked so hard on his songs and he received superiors in both songs. Maddi is really doing great at piano too and I hope that she will continue to practice and learn. This picture totally reminds me of her.
Logan had his pinewood derby last month. I have to say that I have never been to a pinewood derby before. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed watching all the kids. Logan got the judges favorite and the best detailed car. He and his dad wanted to make it look like an old Ford car.

It seems like we have lived at the hospital lately. Here are our latest pictures. It doesn't look to me like he was sick. I think that he started to like the hospital because he found all the gadgets and such. I just hope that we don't have to go back for a long time!

I guess that kind of sums up our life for the past few weeks. Not too exciting but it's been kind of crazy. We are now looking forward to baseball and softball season.

Here We Go Again

I have no pictures to post because we've been rather tied up at the hospital again. Briggs had to be admitted into the hospital for a few days. Man, he's had a rough winter. I have to say that I am getting pretty tired of hospital beds and hospital food. I took him into the ER and he had a fever of 105. His white blood cell count was so high and they had to hurry and start him on IV's. He hates those things. I still can't sit in the room and watch them try to get them into his little arm. Last time it took them 2 hours but this time it only took about 20 minutes. It makes a mom cry to hear their baby screaming forever. They also found a little pnemonia as well. It took a few days to get his blood count normal. I hope that we are done with the hospitals now! It's good to be back home and I hope that it stays that way for a while.
Other than that, nothing much has been going on at our house. My mom and dad took the other kids for a few days. I have to admit, it was kind of nice. It's hard not having any family that lives in the same town as you. I sometimes wish that we lived closer to our families. I'm grateful that they are always so willing to help even though Jon's family and my family both live away from us. The kids love both Grandma's homes. I sometimes think that they would rather be with their grandparents than their parents. That's a good thing though, right. I remember being that same way and I thinkt that I lived at my Grandma's house.
Anyway, I'll post pictures soon.

The BIG "3"

Our Brooke turned three and I can't believe it. It seems just like yesterday that she came into this world. She brings such JOY to our house and it seems like there is never a dull moment with her around.
This is how her life started out. I don't think that I'll ever forget that moment that they took her away and life-flighted her to Provo. I think that is the worst feeling ever to have your baby taken away and you don't know if they are going to be o.k. or not. I cried and cried and this is what we found when we got to the NICU. She was on life support for a while and gave us quite a scare.

It didn't take her long to bounce back from being early. She was a very good baby. I loved all of her black hair and she had the biggest, bluest eyes.

This is one of my favorite pictures because it shows those big, baby blues.

Things that We love about Brooke:
* Her Smile. *Those big blue eyes. *She always wants to go shopping. *Her laugh.
* She makes us laugh. *Her sense of humor. *She is VERY curious. *She loves the outdoors.
*She has a mop of hair that is natural curly, we wish that we all had it. *She is a great helper.
* She likes everyone. *She always wants to go. It doesn't matter it it's to the doctor, daycare, the dentist, she is all about being anywhere but home. *We LOVE EVERYTHING about her!!!
We LOVE ya Brooke!!
I attempted to decorate her birthday cake. All she wanted was pink so we found some cute butterflies to put on it too. It took me forever but we did it. I'm no pro like my cousins but hey, it's worth a shot, right. All that she wanted for her birthday was pink. We couldn't get anything else out of her until the day before her birthday.
Say Cheese!

She then told us that she wanted a real pink horse. (Sorry to say we couldn't pull that one off.) She ended up getting a lot of clothes from her gandparents, lightbright, a horse puzzle, a pink hat, and some new shoes. She loved everything! She is very easy to please, thank goodness! We love our Brooke and we are so grateful that she is a part of our family!!
