Here We Go Again

I have no pictures to post because we've been rather tied up at the hospital again. Briggs had to be admitted into the hospital for a few days. Man, he's had a rough winter. I have to say that I am getting pretty tired of hospital beds and hospital food. I took him into the ER and he had a fever of 105. His white blood cell count was so high and they had to hurry and start him on IV's. He hates those things. I still can't sit in the room and watch them try to get them into his little arm. Last time it took them 2 hours but this time it only took about 20 minutes. It makes a mom cry to hear their baby screaming forever. They also found a little pnemonia as well. It took a few days to get his blood count normal. I hope that we are done with the hospitals now! It's good to be back home and I hope that it stays that way for a while.
Other than that, nothing much has been going on at our house. My mom and dad took the other kids for a few days. I have to admit, it was kind of nice. It's hard not having any family that lives in the same town as you. I sometimes wish that we lived closer to our families. I'm grateful that they are always so willing to help even though Jon's family and my family both live away from us. The kids love both Grandma's homes. I sometimes think that they would rather be with their grandparents than their parents. That's a good thing though, right. I remember being that same way and I thinkt that I lived at my Grandma's house.
Anyway, I'll post pictures soon.

The BIG "3"

Our Brooke turned three and I can't believe it. It seems just like yesterday that she came into this world. She brings such JOY to our house and it seems like there is never a dull moment with her around.
This is how her life started out. I don't think that I'll ever forget that moment that they took her away and life-flighted her to Provo. I think that is the worst feeling ever to have your baby taken away and you don't know if they are going to be o.k. or not. I cried and cried and this is what we found when we got to the NICU. She was on life support for a while and gave us quite a scare.

It didn't take her long to bounce back from being early. She was a very good baby. I loved all of her black hair and she had the biggest, bluest eyes.

This is one of my favorite pictures because it shows those big, baby blues.

Things that We love about Brooke:
* Her Smile. *Those big blue eyes. *She always wants to go shopping. *Her laugh.
* She makes us laugh. *Her sense of humor. *She is VERY curious. *She loves the outdoors.
*She has a mop of hair that is natural curly, we wish that we all had it. *She is a great helper.
* She likes everyone. *She always wants to go. It doesn't matter it it's to the doctor, daycare, the dentist, she is all about being anywhere but home. *We LOVE EVERYTHING about her!!!
We LOVE ya Brooke!!
I attempted to decorate her birthday cake. All she wanted was pink so we found some cute butterflies to put on it too. It took me forever but we did it. I'm no pro like my cousins but hey, it's worth a shot, right. All that she wanted for her birthday was pink. We couldn't get anything else out of her until the day before her birthday.
Say Cheese!

She then told us that she wanted a real pink horse. (Sorry to say we couldn't pull that one off.) She ended up getting a lot of clothes from her gandparents, lightbright, a horse puzzle, a pink hat, and some new shoes. She loved everything! She is very easy to please, thank goodness! We love our Brooke and we are so grateful that she is a part of our family!!

WINNERS

Logan and Maddi both entered the creative arts contest at our school. I can't believe that they both won. Logan got lucky and won two trophies. They both took 1st place in the writing category and Logan took 2nd in the visual arts category. We'll post their entries when we get them back. The theme was "Our Beautiful World Inspires Me To..." Maddison wrote about how there are lots of people who inspire her to be nice to others. Logan wrote about how he wanted to build houses for those who didn't have homes and for dogs who didn't have a doghouse. (We had to laugh at that one) Logan drew a picture of him building houses. He even added all the little tools that he would use. The best was the air compressor and nail gun. I think that he's helped his dad a little and knows how it all works. Maddison also drew a cute picture about her helping others. Good job kids!
