Piano Recital

Logan and Maddi just had their first piano recital. They did a great job and we were so proud of them.

New Years

Mirror, Mirror on the wall...Who is the prettiest princess? That would be Brooke!

We went to Bryce for New Years and the kids had so much fun playing with their cousins. They spent most of their time out in the snow. I didn't know that kids could actually go sledding for six hours. They also made a gingerbread train and played dressups. We caught Brooke in the act of asking the mirror who was the prettiest princess.

CHRISTMAS

I love Christmas morning! I remember waiting forever for my dad to get a fire built before we could go and see what Santa had brought. I now do the same thing with my kids. I love their excitement and smiles. This year Santa did make it to our house. Logan got a bike, Nintendo DS, legos, clothes, and games. Maddison got Kit (the American Girl Doll) with new clothes for her, a Nintendo DS, and clothes. Brooke wanted a baby and a comb and that's what she got. Except, she got two dolls, twins. Her favorite present was a monster book. It amazes me that sometimes the small things are what they love the most. Briggs got a little train with blocks and clothes.

Christmas Eve is a big tradition in our house. This year we made reindeer cupcakes to give Santa, opened our new pajamas, and watched a movie about the Savior. The kids were so excited and actually wanted to go to bed at 8:00. Then of course they got up at 2:30, 4:00, 5:00 and finally at 5:30 Jon gave in.
